Bills at Pats Sunday: Harp and Tailgate info

Well, were finally at week 17 of another heartbreaking season for Bills fans. We may not be ending the playoff drought this season, but the Bills do have a chance to do something they havent done since that 1999 playoff run, sweep the Patriots in the regular season!

Were attacking this on two fronts this week, at the Harp and at the game!

For those going to the Harp: The Harp will be open at noon on Sunday for the Bills game. As always well have our FREE halftime buffet, and the game on in HD with audio. Still thirsty after New Years Eve? Dont forget our drink specials:

* $12 pitchers of Labatt Blue

* $15 buckets of Blue/Blue Light Bottles

For those going to the game:

Come join in the fun of our annual Bills Backers of Boston Official Pinto Kenny Tailgate! Well be at the same spot as the last two years, the Route 1 Liquor Mart just north of the stadium. Parking is $50 per vehicle, and while the lot doesnt open til 9am, I spoke with management and they said we could show up at 8:30am and start grabbing our area.

While this week wraps up the season of Bills games at the Harp, stay tuned for info on Sabres events in the coming months. Were hoping the Blue and Gold can rally and work towards another playoff run. And we'd also like to give a cheer to all fans in the group, both new and old. While the Bills have struggled on the field, you all have been awesome in your energy and support of the group on Sundays. Were going to continue to work with the Harp to improve the gameday experience and are always open to any comments or suggestions you may have. Harp closed tomorrow

It's probably obvious but just in case... the Harp will be closed tomorrow for Christmas Eve. If you really need your Tebow fix, MJ OConnors at the Park Plaza is open until 7pm.

We hope everyone has happy, healthy and joyous holiday season. Thanks for your support through the year, and hopefully we'll see you at the Harp on New Years day to close out another season of Bills football.

Squish the Fish!

Last weeks game was a letdown, so lets get back to basics. And whats more basic for Bills fans than a need to beat the Dolphins. To help channel this were taking a step back in time (and back in fashion#166;) for Zubaz day at the Harp!! Anyone sporting Zubaz apparel at the Harp this Sunday will get a free Bills Backers of Boston shirt. Dont have any Zubaz? Bring anything anti-Miami and youll get a free shirt. Kickoff is at 1 pm.

Speaking of shirts, well have our new t-shirts on sale (mens and womens sizes) for $15/each.

After a few weeks of special buffets, were back to our FREE halftime buffet, donated every week by The Harp. Also weve got the following beer specials:

Thanks again to all of you for your amazing support at last weeks Charity Day event. We donated $1,680 to the NFLPA New England Chapter that will be distributed to charities throughout Massachusetts. Heres a message from Butch Byrd regarding our donation:

As I mentioned, on Sunday, the NFLPA of New England holds a yearly Golfing event to raise funds in support of local Massachusetts Charities. This years proceeds (2011) will go to the following organizations listed below. I should mention that the Turkeys dinners with all the "Fixin" is distributed to ten Massachusetts communities to be given to the most needy. One Turkey dinner will feed six people.

The golfing event proceeds garnered in 2011, will be allocated to the following:

- Wrentham Developmental Center

- Robert F. Kennedy Children Action Corporation

- Catholic Charities

- 100 - 20lb Turkeys for those in need (Thanksgiving Dinner)

The Buffalo Bills Backers charity contribution will be distributed in the year 2012 along with the proceeds from our yearly golf event. The charities will be determined at a later date in 2012."

Well be sure to follow up with Mr. Byrd in 2012 to get more specifics about how our money was distributed. Feel free to let us know via email, facebook message, or in person this weekend any comments you might have about our Charity Day or the Harp experience in general. Were always striving to make it a place you all enjoy to come to on Sundays. (since we cant do much about what happens on the field#166;)

Bills/Cowboys with a special guest on Charity Day this Sunday, 1 pm

In honor of our 20th anniversary as a chapter of Bills Backers International, were excited and honored to have Buffalo Bills alumnus, two-time AFL Championship winner, and Bills all-time interception leader #42 Butch Byrd at the Harp this Sunday to help cheer on our Bills. Hell be available for autographs, photos, and conversation all afternoon.

We're happy to announce this Sunday at 1pm is our 2nd annual Mighty Taco Day at the Harp. Come down and cheer on your Bills as they battle the evil J-E-T-S (suck! suck! suck!) and enjoy some Mighty Taco beef and cheese burritos (we also have bean and cheese for any vegetarians in our group) on the halftime buffet.
